Bringing Visual Art Education to King County

Greetings from The Northwest Art Project

For more than 60 years, we have had the honor of bringing visual art learning directly to classrooms across King County through traveling art exhibits, training for educators, and PTSA docents. We invite you to learn more about our history, our purpose, and much more. If you are an educator, please check out our professional development opportunities that will equip you with the skills needed to bring art education to your classroom.

Resources for King County Educators

If you are an educator in a school within King County, learn how you can sign up to host a traveling art exhibit in the 2023-2024 school year and about our art educator trainings.

“Art is so important to helping develop both critical thinking skills and emotional understanding skills. Our school, in the South end of Seattle, serves a diverse population of students, the majority of whom are living in poverty. The Northwest Art Project brings so much more than just the works themselves. The art brings hope, bridges gaps, and broadens understanding.”

— Steve M., Educator at John Muir Elementary
